OUTFIT OF THE DAY: FIERCE GRAPHIC PRINT SKIRT AND FUNKY TIGHTS

Hi Lovlies,

Nice weather is finally hitting us here in NY and Im taking full advantage of it.  Today's outfit was built around this amazing skirt I purchased from Forever 21.  It has 3 of my must-have components- inexpensive, sexy, and dual purpose (work and after-work appropriate).  I paired it with the sheer hobo top I purchased from Nordstroms, sexy tights, a H&M blazer and my awesome Dollhouse Oxfords.

I KNOW MY HEAD'S CUT OFF LOL, BUT I JUST WANTED TO SHOW THE ALMOST AFRICAN TYPE PRINT ON THIS FIERCE SKIRT. TO DIE FOR!!!!

Styling tips:
As much as I like this outfit, I do believe I was playing it safe in terms of staying in the black and white family.  Next time I wear this skirt, I will definetly sport it with color.  I'm thinking:

• -pairing it with a bold color top (aqua, teal, salmon, yellow, etc)
• -Coloful accessories like bangles, statement earrings and necklace, even a scarf
• Most important, a colorful shoe-sandals or heels in aqua, teal, salmon, etc.

Why it would work?The skirt is a statement piece in itself with its tribal angular shapes in a universal color-black.  Because of this, doing an almost color blocking method utilizing colors from the other side of the color spectrum provides visual interest.

REQUEST: OOTD MIXING BLACK AND BROWN

Hi Lovelies,

Today's outfit of the day was actually a request from a youtube subcriber. She wanted me to incorporate the universal colors brown and black with a twist.  This is what i came up with.

Sometimes, it can be tricky to mix black and brown together eventhough they are universal colors. The key is to add a transitional piece like the cheetah print top that incorporates both colors. The top act as a barrier almost, to break the colors apart and add contrast.

OFFICE CHIC OOTD: BANDAGE SKIRT W/ ANIMAL PRINT OPEN BACK BLOUSE

Today's outfit is simple yet chic.  My style is more classic so it is necessary, in my opinion, to throw in some wild prints and/or accessories to keep on trend.  Tell me what you think!!

-SKIRT:

I love body con or banded stretchy skirts.  This bandage skirt from Torrid is very figure flattering.  Clearly curvy girls can sport these looks and look CURVICIOUS in them.  To pull this off, I suggest wearing a bodyshaper underneath. -CARDIGAN:

This Cardigan is about 2 years old. One of my go-to pieces.  Every Curvy girl needs a boyfriend cardigan like this one. Its so handy and often times, can make an outfit.

-SILK BLOUSE W/ BACK BOW DETAIL:

This is the top I showed in my Nordstrom's haul post (Nordstroms Haul ).  It's silk and in the front, a scoop neck and an exposed back with big bow detail.  HOW CUTE IS THIS!!??
