As a plus size woman; I find that it can be quite challenging to shop for bathing suits.  Vacation shopping had always been something I looked forward to because for some reason; I find that I'm more comfortable to wearing more risky clothing while away. Maybe it's because I'm somewhere unfamiliar or my mind is in a relaxed stress-free mentality. Needless to say, you will definitely find me sporting pieces (short shorts, see-thru anything) you WILL NEVER see me sporting on a regular.

I'm going away to Turks and Caicos in two days and the only item I've really shopped for has been swimsuits. Below, you will see some pieces I tried on, some goodies and many-F.A.I.L lol.

-I know I said I like to be more risque during my holidays but this is where I would draw the line lol. I love the suit, but my back fat poking through the mesh leaves much to be desired so I did NOT buy this one.

Ralph Lauren Suit at Marshalls $39.99

I really liked this suit. The halter design and rippled effect in the front helped camouflage the belly. My only issue with it was the fact that it was black. Me being me, I needed some color, so I DID NOT buy this one either.

Purchased at Marshalls, $39.99

Now, I LOVED THIS SUIT!! I loved the contrast of colors and the colorblocking as well.  The darker shade went to the lower body where it helps to camouflage like the black suit above, but the tie-die coloring on top gives it more appeal to the eye. It gravitates the eye upwards to the smallest part of my body oppose to my belly.  I bought this one!

In all, the best advice I can leave you all with is when it comes to vacation shopping, LEAVE THE INHIBITIONS AT HOME.

So you guys know I absolutely love ASOS. I've been shopping there for over a year now. However, it's been a while since I purchased anything. I couldn't have picked a better time to revisit their site since I caught it during their current 60%+ off sale.  I manage to scoop 2 great dresses with the colorblocking trend that Ive been sporting since spring.

Want to buy this dress? It's under $30! http://us.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1448851

For those who are wondering exactly what colorblocking is; in simple terms-it is the technique of pairing two different colors together.  Although this particular dress has more neutral colors then bold bright ones, the colorblocking is still apparent.

I paired it with a NUDE patent leather peep toe platform wedge shoe purchased from Rainbows, surprisingly enough, for $25.

What I absolutely loved was that the colorblocking technique is already done for you, so its fool proof.  Also, the dress is very stretchy and the fabric is good quality.

My face tends to always be about the eyes. With that being said, I have my signature eye look (Macs “Woodwink” e/s for base color and crease color Macs “Stars & Rockets”). I don’t wear foundation so I have Mac’s concealer (NW45) under my eyes and on random blemish spots. I set it all with Clinique’s “Almost there” face powder compact.  On my lips, I have on Maybelline’s Colorsensational in “Pink Please” topped with NARS lipgloss in “Giza.”

Watch: Michael Kors
Bracelets: Cheetah print with some gold plated bangles-H&M and F21
Earrings- Vintage inspired, F21
Necklace- ?? found it in my jewelry box.

What do you guys think?

One of the most necessary accessory for the summer are sunglasses.  In my opinion, it is just as necessary to protect our eyes, as it is to protect our skin.  With that being said, RetroCity Sunglasses reached out to me and offered me 3 pair of sunglasses to review to you all.  I give a thorough review on my youtube channel (JusLivN).

In the meantime, check the pics below on just how stylish and unique these shades really are.
